The club regularly schedules tennis social events
(usually monthly) at a tennis club member's home for overall club participation
The social events are usually scheduled on the second Friday of every month. The event includes a group mixed doubles tennis event followed by a gathering at a home of one of the club members that has volunteered to host the event.
Participants are expected to register to come to one or both events on SignUpGenius and should include the number of people attending and the type of dish they are bringing to share with the group. Participants are expected to bring their own drinks.
Expectations of Tennis Club Social Event Hosts
All the host does is open his/her house for the social event and they may also provide an appetizer if they wish.
Participants are expected to bring a dish to pass such as an appetizer or dessert.
A host should expect around 20-30 (or more) club members to attend
If the host doesn't have enough outside seating, he/she may ask members to bring their own outdoor chairs.
The host may provide paper products for the event (cups, plates, etc), but some hosts have used the Club’s supply, or the host may ask the club to reimburse the club for paper products.
