Probable 2026-2027 Tournament Dates

The tennis club board and our tournament director Nancy Mize are in the process of setting up our inter-community tennis tournament schedule for the 2026-2027 fall and winter season. The directors have currently scheduled the following tournaments:

November 7, 2026 - hosted by Trilogy; Cottonwood will be the other team

January 9, 2027 - hosted by Cottonwood; IronOaks will be the other team

February 6, 2027 - Robson Ranch will host Cottonwood and Trilogy

April 10, 2027 - All Club Finale hosted by IronOaks

We also have the possibility of adding tournaments at Saddlebrook Ranch (away) and Encantera -- San Tan Valley to the schedule. 

🎾 Successful Tournament at Iron Oaks

I wanted to thank all of you that played in the intercommunity finale today at Iron/Oaks.  I appreciate you all taking the time to drive up from Eloy!  It was a fun day, maybe a little warm for the later matches, and they provided a great lunch and some breakfast snacks and coffee!  I hope you all had a fun time!  We recently met to make the schedule for next year.  I am going to give the information to the tennis club board and get their blessing.  Then we will pass on the information to the club members so everyone can put the dates on the calendar.

Hope to see you on the courts!  If you travel away from the Ranch for the summer, safe travels, enjoy your summer and we will see you again in the fall!

Annual Club Meeting and Election of officers

New tennis club officers will be elected at the Annual General Meeting on Friday April 24 at 6:00 PM in the Fireside Room. The tennis club will supply a variety of appetizers, but members must pay for their own beverages

Open Positions

1. President – John Milliard will have completed his interim term and has agreed to run for a full two‑year term.

2. Treasurer – Gary See has agreed to run for a second term.

Additional Candidates Any club member may submit their name for President or Treasurer by emailing Inky Ford, Election Committee Chair, and copying Larry Haisting, Club Secretary.

Candidates who wish to run for one of the positions should include in their email:

1. A brief (1–2 sentence) statement of interest and your commitment to attend board meetings (in person, via Zoom, or by submitting a written report if absent).

2. A short statement with at least two bullet points outlining what you hope to accomplish as a board member.

Candidate statements will be posted on the club website and bulletin board prior to the meeting.

Tennis Training

Regularly scheduled weekly tennis training has been cancelled for the remainder of the season. Call Dennis Winders at 720-299-4255 to schedule a private group session.
